Doctors benefit from the easy use of the e-prescription. The practice management system (PVS) automatically checks the completeness of the information when creating the e-prescription. The doctor signs the prescription digitally with the healthcare professional ID and PIN directly on the computer.
Installation is also simple: the e-prescription is already installed in more than 90% of PVS in doctor’s practices. When switching to e-prescription, this simply needs to be “switched on” in the system.
In everyday practice, administrative tasks in particular are saved. Manual signatures and journeys are no longer necessary, remote treatments can be carried out completely digitally and care for patients who live far away runs faster. Stacks of prescriptions no longer need to be sorted and electronic follow-up prescriptions can save costs for letters and postage. This also relieves the burden on medical staff. This leaves more time for treating patients.
