We put a lot on the brain. At work we have to be highly concentrated; digital media demands quick reactions; then we still want to be creative and emotional. It’s no wonder that our gray cells are overloaded at some point. What to do? Twelve wellness tips for the head.
The 90 plus 10 rule: The brain is a concentration expert. When we delve into one problem, it ignores everything else. But after 90 minutes, the upper room needs a break from this strenuous work. A short break of 10 minutes, immediately following a phase of concentration or tension, ensures that the gray cells can continue to do their job optimally.
