The alliance between two of the most innovative players in the field of online sales and payments starts from Italy and looks to other European markets. Satispay and Shopify have signed a strategic alliance that allows the Italian merchants of the company active in support of global ecommerce to integrate the Satispay mobile payment system within a single dashboard.

In this way, the process of accepting payments by the merchant becomes fast and simple even for the final consumer. The common goal is in fact to encourage the development of the e-commerce activities of “Made in Italy” companies on Shopify, providing them with useful tools to manage their business with extreme simplicity and ease.

Thanks to the agreement, merchants who have chosen the Shopify platform for their online store will be able to accept payments from the community of over 1 million and 800 thousand Satispay users worldwide.

In Italy, in 2020 Satispay users carried out over 31.1 million transactions for a total payment value of € 585 million. For its part, Shopify has more than doubled its online storefronts.

In addition to simplifying payments by allowing Shopify merchants to also build customer loyalty, helping to reduce the cart abandonment rate, the alliance represents an opportunity for the 160,000 merchants who use Satispay to adopt an omnichannel strategy for their business by offering the ability to quickly create online stores, to be combined with offline ones and thus to seize the opportunities that derive from ecommerce in our country and on an international scale.
