The Faculty of Medicine Faces Fourth Bomb Threat of the Month

The Faculty of Medicine received a new bomb threat this Friday, marking the second threat of the week and the fourth of the month, sources from the study center confirmed with Telenight and Montevideo Portal.

These threats have become a common occurrence at the faculty, often coinciding with important exams or tests. However, the recent series of threats is concerning as there have been no previous instances of this nature, according to students at the center.

The Friday threat targeted the headquarters of the Faculty of Medicine, but also affected the Faculty of Chemistry and the Alpargatas headquarters. Both the Police and the National Fire Department were called to the scene to carry out the necessary protocols.

In response to the threats, a group of independent students from the faculty took to social media to denounce the situation. They emphasized the negative impact of these threats on academic activities, stating that each evacuation results in lost experiments, teaching hours, and study resources.

The students also warned that such actions could lead to severe sanctions, including suspension of student status. They urged the entire student community to take responsibility and stand against these threats.

The Faculty of Medicine and its students continue to be on high alert as authorities work to ensure the safety and security of the campus amidst these repeated threats.
