So speech recognition can replace our passwords

by admin

There is the Italian hand behind the biometric technology that will allow authentication on the phone, an app or a web service, simply expressing oneself in natural language, effectively replacing the use of written passwords. It is that of Almawave, a company of the Almaviva group that deals with Artificial Intelligence, natural language analysis and Big Data services.
Through the subsidiary PerVoice, Almawave has entered into a strategic agreement with the Phonexia company, founded in 2006 in the Czech Republic, specializing in software and voice biometric technologies.

The new technologies studied by the Czech company, which works in full synergy with the Brno University of Technology, will make it possible to authenticate on the phone, an app or a web service, simply by speaking with the voice. And this, in fact, can replace traditional passwords. An important step in the field of biometrics, which could help prevent fraud or unwanted access by hackers, and in general to protect the most sensitive data. The solutions are designed in particular for the banking and financial sector but can be applied in any service aimed at the public, for example in the Healthcare sector.
“Every day, each of us has to deal with an increasing number of accounts and passwords” said Valeria Sandei, CEO of Almawave, “biometric technologies, a field of application in which Phonexia is among the most specialized companies in the world. , offer a win-win solution that, in addition to simplicity, first of all guarantees safety. In Phonexia we have found an ideal partner who, like us, offers concrete solutions to companies and public administrations, and pursues innovation through research and close collaboration with the university world ».
“We are really pleased to collaborate with the Almawave Group, through the subsidiary PerVoice, providing them with Phonexia Voice Verify, a state-of-the-art voice biometrics solution, which allows verification of the identity of customers by listening to their voice, thus offering an experience extremely fast and secure customer, eliminating the use of passwords »says Michal Hrabi, CEO of Phonexia.
