Piacenza he fully understood the role of sport as a vehicle for social inclusion. Five companies from Piacenza have in fact created a network to help young people in difficult conditions through the practice of a sporting discipline. The project is entitled “Together is better: sport is for everyone” and obtained funding of 30 thousand euros through the 2023 notice “Sport for all – Inclusion‘; initiative promoted by the Minister for Sport and Youth through the Department for Sport, carried out in collaboration with Sports and health.

The lead company is the Rugby Lyonswhich involved Spes Borgotrebbia, Sakura Martial Arts Center, San Martino Capoeira Club e Sport & Games with the aim of making sporting activity a fundamental part of the development and growth of young people with fewer opportunities, raising it to a tool for inclusion and discussion capable of transmitting values, life models and behavioral practices that can be transferred into everyday life. The activities started in January, will last a total of 24 months and so far have involved 42 young people in various sports: ranging from football, dedicated mainly to disabled people, to judo to fencing, passing through capoeira and obviously Lyons rugby which are the proud promoters locally. All with the organizational contribution of CSV Emilia, Piacenza in Blue, Diocesan Caritas of Piacenza-Bobbio, Provincial notice, Assofa and cooperative Kairos Educational Services.
