The past year has placed the world in front of complex challenges, which have made us reflect on the importance of the role of digital innovation for the social, economy and culture. Experiencing technological and digital progress in the most difficult moments has allowed us to continue studying and working, to communicate, to make and share music, art, culture, to travel and go to concerts (even if only virtually), to do sports and shopping .
Betting on innovation is the key to entering the future. A better future that passes through the contribution of companies, universities, startups from all over the world whose purpose is to think about well-being, to create progress. A future that we can now return to explore in person (and online) from 15 to 17 July at the Palacongressi in Rimini. The city of Federico Fellini will in fact host the ninth edition of WMF – We Make Future, one of the most important events in Europe dedicated to digital and social innovation.
It offers the tools to understand the world to come, through an intense program dedicated to professional training – with more than 60 thematic rooms – and an agenda of over 100 events including Startup Competitions, live concerts and film screenings.
Over 130 companies and 600 speakers from all over the world will address topics such as the national recovery and resilience plan, robotics, sustainability, digital professions, offering a point on the main technological innovations and their social potential. In short, a real agora of digital that in the past edition gathered over 24 thousand online participants and that this year is even richer in news, with areas also outside dedicated to drones, eSports, robot exhibitions.
PROFESSIONAL TRAINING, GUESTS AND SHOW
Professional training and updating has always been the heart of the Rimini event. The training program of WMF 2021 will address current topics such as Digital and Brand Journalism, Email marketing and messaging, Brand Stories, Digital Transformation, Digital Strategy, Web Analytics, Social Impact, Robotics, IoT.
And again: Cybersecurity, Smart Working, Event Management, Digital Health and many others. Among the thematic innovations of the three days, the scheduled presence of the training room dedicated to the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals, and the room dedicated to the digitization of the Public Administration.
In addition, institutional work tables dedicated to the analysis and knowledge of the main directives proposed by the PNRR are scheduled; a hackathon in collaboration with the European Parliament on the “Together for Europe” project, dedicated to discussing the role of the EU for present and future collective challenges.
With this in mind, the parterre of speakers and institutional representatives will be particularly rich. The Mainstage of the Festival will welcome the testimonies – in presence in Rimini and in connection – of important guests including Luigi di Maio, the founder of Emergency Gino Strada, the deputy prosecutor of Reggio Calabria Giuseppe Lombardo, Laura Moro of the Ministry of Culture and the President of the GIMBE Nino Cartabellotta Foundation.
Also strong was the participation of the representatives of municipalities and regions, including that of the mayors Chiara Appendino, Dario Nardella, Federico Pizzarotti, involved in a working table dedicated to the relaunch and restart policies of the Italian cities, in light of the missions envisaged by the PNRR .
Ample space is then reserved for the world of entertainment: live concerts, inspirational talks and debates will alternate on the main stage of WMF 2021 with the participation of artists and personalities from the world of entertainment and music. Roy Paci will in fact inaugurate the Mainstage program with the concert on July 15th, the first of his tour “La Despedida”, the last with Aretuska.
But there will also be live shows by The Jackal and I Sansoni, within a setting enriched by the co-conduct of Diletta Leotta, former guest of the past editions of the WMF. There is also talk of innovation through music, art and cinema thanks to the participation of exceptional guests such as Alessandro Borghi, Neri Parenti and Angelo Maggi.
In collaboration with AGIS and AGICI, WMF2021 hosts the first edition of the Innovation Film Fest, dedicated to cinema with short film screenings, meetings between directors, videomakers, film producers and distributors, training events and workshops.
Not only. Also on the agenda of the Web Marketing Festival 2021 are initiatives dedicated to the growth of emerging artistic projects such as the Call dedicated to Digital Creators and the emerging Contest Band organized in collaboration with RDS Next.
