On Thursday 9 May the Malmö Arena hosts the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, broadcast in Italy – starting at 9.00 pm – live on Rai 2 (also on RaiPlay and in simulcast on Rai Radio 2 with commentary by Diletta Parlangeli and Matteo Osso and on Channel 202 of digital terrestrial).

How do you vote at Eurovision? How televoting works: the guide and the numbers
The artists called to perform during the second semi-final of Eurovision 2024 are 19 in total. As happened on Tuesday, 16 singers will have to be able to win over the public to gain access to the final scheduled for Saturday 11 May (they can be voted by Eurovision viewers via televoting and by national juries).
The other 3, however, are already qualified by law as countries belonging to the so-called Big 5. This is ours Angelina Mango (sixteenth in the lineup), by Nebulossa for Spain and by Slimane for France.
Below is the lineup of the second semi-final of Eurovision Song Contest 2024 with the artists’ release order:
1 Malta | Sarah Bonnici – Loop
3 Greece | Marina Satti – Zari
4 Switzerland | Nemo – The Code
5 Cechia | I live – Pedestal
6 France | Slimane – Mon amour (not competing because qualified for the final by right)
7 Austria | Kaleen – We Will Rave
8 Danimarca | Saba – Sand
9 Armenia | Ladaniva – Very
10 Lettonia | Dons – Hollow
11 Spain | Nebulossa – Zorra (not competing because they qualified for the final by right)
12 San Marino | Megara – 11.11am
13 Georgia | Nutsa Buzaladze – Fire Fighter
14 Belgio | Mustii – Before the Party’s Over
15 Estonia | 5 minus e Puuluup – We (do) know nothing about (these) drugs
16 Italy | Angelina Mango – Boredom (not competing because she qualified for the final by right)
17 Israel | Eden Golan – Hurricane
18 Norvegia | Riddle – Ulveham
19 Netherlands | Joost Klein – Europa
During the second semi-final it will be possible for the Italian public to televote, but – as per the Eurovision Song Contest regulations – it will not be possible to vote for Angelina Mango.
Helena Paparizou, Sertab Erener and Charlotte Perrelli will perform during the interval. The three artists will sing the songs with which they participated in the event in the past, respectively «My Number One», «Everyway That I Can» and «Take Me to Your Heaven».
The evening promises to be rich, but there may be no shortage of controversies. As Barbara Visentin explained, his eyes are focused above all on the representative of Israel Eden Golan, competing with «Hurricane» (who will perform immediately after Mango): «Her participation has aroused heated controversy in light of the conflict in the Middle East and they await protests and demonstrations, after the ban on bringing pro-Palestinian flags or symbols to the competition has already been reiterated.” Before the evening even began, thousands of pro-Gaza protesters concentrated in Malmo: Swedish authorities have already tightened security and are preparing for possible clashes, especially ahead of the weekend.
