When the regional government took office there were 3 medical faculties, today they are already 4 and we are working to bring the fifth medical faculty into operation which is the one that the University of Messina has built with a second faculty at the Papardo hospital , with an authorization from the council, we will certainly work towards the sixth objective with the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart and the Giglio di Cefalù Foundation. We hope to finish this work in the coming weeks. Indeed, if we succeed by the end of the mandate, the medical faculties in Sicily will be 7 in Sicily. The human resource is once again the protagonist ». This was said by Ruggero Razza, regional councilor for health, who spoke at the presentation of the technical-scientific committee of the social and health sector of Confindustria Sicilia. “And even the faculties of nursing sciences – underlined Razza – will double the number of students in Sicily”.
