L’OMS, World Health Organizationdecided to put the World Economic Forum in Davos that the possible ‘Disease X’ pandemic will open this week. The aim should be to plan the actions that the international community will have to implement to contain a pandemic that could prove much more lethal than the one recently faced due to Covid-19.
The WHO session on Disease during the Forum in Davos will be held on Wednesday, in the presence of the director of the Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the Brazilian health minister Nisia Trindade Lima, the president of the AstraZeneca board of directors Michel Demaré, the CEO of Royal Philips Roy Jakobs and the executive vice-president of the Indian hospital chain Apollo Preetha Reddy. The possible Disease crisis that arose due to Covidit seems that we now want to accelerate, at least from an information point of view for world governments.
What is Disease
Disease priority diseases from the point of view of awareness (with Ebola, Zika, Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever, Middle Eastern respiratory syndrome and severe acute respiratory syndrome), currently does not represent any actually known virus, bacterium or disease. The term, in fact, indicates a probable unknown disease which could, suddenly, affect humans, with rather tragic consequences.
According to WHO estimates, in fact, Disease mortality up to 20 times higher than Covid-19. Some assume that it will once again be caused by a coronavirus, while others that it will be some new flu strain, but according to the Organization it remains important not to catch us unprepared, but to know precisely what type of response to activate, so that it is coordinated throughout the world, differently from what happened with Covid-19. Fortunately, however, the WHO believes that a Vaccine for the presumed Disease X it could be developed in a maximum of 100 dayswhile researchers at the University of Oxford have used their knowledge to make the vaccine already in use against Covid adaptable.
