Wind, lower temperatures and above all the low humidity of heated environments put a strain on our eyes which burn and water more often in winter. The wind, in particular, accelerates the evaporation of moisture on the ocular surface, causing dryness and stimulating tearing. And then there are the long hours in front of the computer for work or study and the allergies which are not only spring allergies but also those to dust or mould.
