In honor of World Day for the fight against HPV, the Lombardy Region is offering free health checks in Pavia hospitals to prevent tumors. The Pavese Province is also stepping up efforts by offering tests and vaccines against the Papilloma virus, with the Local Health Authority summoning two hundred girls for screening.
To further promote awareness and prevention, Asst Lariana Prima Como will be hosting an Open Day on 9 March for screening and prevention programs. This event will provide valuable information and resources for those looking to protect themselves against HPV.
Despite efforts to prevent HPV, some individuals may still contract the virus. One concerned individual reached out to the Republic for advice, stating that their girlfriend contracted HPV despite being vaccinated. If you find yourself in a similar situation, it’s important to consult with a healthcare professional to discuss your options and next steps for ensuring your own health and well-being.
