The suspect is currently in custody, the police and public prosecutor announced on Thursday. The senior citizen had previously recognized the attempted fraud and informed the police. The 14-year-old is said to have called the 84-year-old on Tuesday and pretended to be her husband’s daughter.
In a tearful voice, the teenager accused her of having caused a fatal traffic accident, the police said. The senior should now give her 225,000 euros for the deposit. The criminal police arrived during the phone call. There was already an open arrest warrant against the young person for a similar crime.
