180,000 units of preferential housing are waiting for tenants to return to work in this city

The city has launched its 2024 back-to-work season to benefit people’s rental services, including affordable rental housing for the first time. This initiative aims to support city operation personnel returning to work, as well as new citizens and young people.

With 40 housing rental companies participating, a total of 180,000 units/rooms (including beds) have been made available for rent. Discounts such as rent reduction and deposit exemption are being offered to eligible tenants.

The city has established a mechanism to connect supply and demand for multi-level rental housing to meet the needs of various groups, including express delivery personnel, sanitation workers, security staff, and young professionals.

The Beijing Real Estate Agency Industry Association has launched an online platform to facilitate the matchmaking of rental properties with potential tenants. Special events and recruitment sessions will also be organized to promote housing and services to enterprises.

Various types of housing, including affordable rental projects, self-operated rental housing, and long-term rental apartments, are being offered during the back-to-work season. Leasing companies are providing discounts on rent deposits and service fees to attract tenants.

The inclusion of affordable rental housing projects in the event is seen as a highlight, providing more options for new citizens and young professionals. These housing units are mainly located in industrial clusters with strong housing demand for young talents.

Overall, the back-to-work season presents a unique opportunity for tenants to secure affordable and discounted housing options in the city.
