2,000 in the No Green pass march in Udine: “We want to work in freedom”

UDINE. They protested against the obligation of the green certificate, “blackmail to be able to work”, invoking “freedom of choice” and showing solidarity also in Trieste. Two thousand people took part in the procession that from piazzale Chiavris, in front of the Brun park, arrived in piazza Libertà.

The people of the No pass, between choirs and banners, crossed viale Volontari della Libertà, piazza Primo Maggio, via Manin and arrived at their final destination under the control of about forty law enforcement officers, including local police, police of State and Weapon. A transversal people – made up of students, professionals, artisans, traders, even the group of “no pass metalworkers” -, which opposes the government’s decisions. There are those who have had to close their business after 40 years and protest because they want to work, but without obligations.

Others, although vaccinated, demonstrate why the right to work enshrined in the Constitution “has been violated”. “The Green pass is a social control measure, not a health one.” Among the posters: “The worst dictatorship is false democracy”, “When injustice becomes law, resistance becomes a duty!”, “All together with Trieste for a free Italy”, “Peace, love and freedom”. “We are not violent – they said -, we just want to work”. “We are all free to express our ideas and opinions in peace – they reiterated -. Because we are at peace ».
