The district has launched the “East of the Forbidden City·Cultural Dragon Ticket” program, which aims to provide a variety of cultural experiences covering exhibitions, book buying, opera performances, and movie screenings. The program is open to units stationed in the area, moral models, Beijing role models, sanitation workers, and citizen representatives to start a cultural New Year’s journey and benefit the people with enriching experiences.
The cultural offerings during the Spring Festival are impressive and full of rituals, with 22 wonderful performances planned, including Chinese Peking Opera, a large-scale New Year concert, a large-screen audio-visual symphony concert of movie hits, and Russian classic ballets. Additionally, popular cultural spaces in Dongcheng District, including art museums and cinemas, will enrich the supply of cultural products during the festival, injecting new ideas into New Year cultural activities.
Dongcheng District is also focusing on courteous and charming cultural services, demonstrating a sense of mission of the times. The district, as the functional core area of the capital, is the core hosting area for the national political center, cultural center, and international exchange center.
In order to meet the new spiritual and cultural needs of the public, the “East of the Forbidden City·Cultural Dragon Ticket” highlights the elements of the New Year Dragon Year and the cultural characteristics of Dongcheng, combining tradition and popularity. Dragon tickets will be issued to representatives of all walks of life, sending Dongcheng’s unique New Year greetings.
The district is also carefully designing cultural exhibitions, immersion experiences, theater performances, and movie screenings to create a festive atmosphere during the Spring Festival, allowing the masses to celebrate the traditional festival in a new fashion.
