The Minister of Housing, City and Territory, Catalina Velasco Campuzano, indicated that financial entities will be able to resume the process of uploading documentation to request the assignment, starting Monday, January 22, 2024, and that the first assignment resolution will be issued. of validity, on Friday, February 2. The allocation of subsidies will begin with 1,700 spaces enabled weekly.
The Government seeks to grant a total of 50,000 subsidies annually, which already have the guarantee of interest rate coverage. Altogether, it is expected to reach the figure of 200,000 subsidies in this mandate.
The Minister of Housing, City and Territory, Catalina Velasco Campuzano, also reported that the assignments of the Mi Casa Ya program in 2024 have an improvement that benefits homes and builders: “The percentage of work required is reduced from 85 to 70 in the appraisal of the property as a requirement to access the subsidy,” he said.
By 2024, Mi Casa Ya offers a subsidy for the initial payment equivalent to 30 current legal monthly minimum wages (SMMLV), for households classified between subgroups A1 and C8 of Sisbén IV, which is equivalent to $39 million, and for households between C9 and D20 are granted a subsidy equivalent to 20 SMMLV, that is, $26 million.
Additionally, for priority interest housing (VIP) coverage equivalent to five (5) percentage points is granted and for social interest housing (VIS) coverage equivalent to four (4) percentage points, which are applied to the credit or the housing leasing contract, for up to 7 years.
Steps to apply to the program:
• Select the VIS or VIP type home of your preference.
• Go to the credit establishment or solidarity economy entity of the household’s preference, to start the home purchasing process.
• These entities carry out a first validation of requirements through the platform that operates the program, in which it is determined if the Sisbén IV requirement is met (up to D20), not being a homeowner and not having received a housing subsidy. or coverage previously.
• If these requirements are met, the mortgage loan or housing leasing is managed with the credit establishment or solidarity economy entity.
