A car was also hit, the wires of Enel and Ctm were cut

Tragedy touched this morning in via Roma. A gigantic branch detached from an age-old tree and crushed a newsstand and a car, also severing the electricity and trolleybus cables, luckily nobody was passing by at the time. The episode took place around 5 am. The large branch of the tree, perhaps also due to the wind of recent days and the rain, broke off, hitting the newsstand in front of Piazza Deffenu squarely.

The metal house was partially crushed under the weight of the wood, a car was also hit. The fire brigade teams and the municipal police immediately intervened on the spot. Shortly after, the public green technicians who are now working to cut the branch, and the Enel workers who are taking care of the electric cables. Luckily no one was injured both due to the timetable but also due to the fact that via Roma is closed to traffic due to a construction site.
