Chen Bin reported that between 0:00 and 24:00 on June 2, 16 new cases of domestic infection were reported in Guangzhou, including 11 confirmed cases and 5 domestic asymptomatic infections. Another 4 cases of asymptomatic infections that had been announced were converted to confirmed cases. The 16 new cases of domestic infections were found in active investigations, all concentrated in the medium and high risk control areas, including 11 cases in Zhongnan Street in Liwan District, 4 cases in Baihedong Street, and 1 case in Dongnao Street.
As of 24:00 on June 2, a total of 70 cases of infection have been reported in this round of the epidemic in Guangzhou, including 56 confirmed cases and 14 asymptomatic infections.
Chen Bin said that since the start of the nucleic acid investigation of all employees in key areas on May 26, as of 24:00 on June 2, a total of 7,817,600 nucleic acid samples had been sampled in Guangzhou, and 29 people had been found to be positive.
