A27, work in the tunnel begins: in summer closed only on weekdays

BELLUNO. Safety on the motorway requires another spring and, above all, another summer of patience: for the people of Belluno and for tourists. In fact, the Autostrade company has anticipated that closure measures will be adopted on the A27 Mestre-Belluno, to allow for inspection activities in the tunnels, scheduled at night time: from 22 on Wednesday 27 to 5 on Thursday 28 April, the section included will be closed. between Fadalto Lago di Santa Croce and Belluno, towards Belluno / SS51 Alemagna. Alternatively, after the mandatory exit at the Fadalto Lago di Santa Croce station, you can continue on the SS51 Alemagna towards Belluno and return to the A27 at the Belluno-Cadola junction. And, again, another closure from 22 on Thursday 28 to 5 on Friday 29 April, when the stretch between Belluno and Fadalto Lago di Santa Croce, towards Mestre will be off limit. Alternatively, in this case, you can enter the Fadalto Lago di Santa Croce station, after having traveled the SS51 Alemagna.

However, the greatest inconvenience will come later, when the north tube of the Monte Baldo tunnel in Vittorio Veneto will be closed for safety measures, such as those carried out last summer in the south tube. With a novelty this year: the works will take place only on weekdays, in order to allow the full usability of the section on weekends, characterized by higher traffic flows.

The construction site will consolidate an important part of the tunnel, almost 2 kilometers long, on the basis of the results of highly specialized checks carried out according to the most recent standards defined by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Sustainable Mobility. On the part of ASPI, a tunnel modernization plan is underway on the entire network of its competence and provides for invasive interventions that need to be carried out continuously and with the use of massive vehicles, characteristics that necessarily require the closure of the fornix affected by the works.

To alleviate the inconvenience, in Vittorio Veneto the Autostrade company has commissioned a company to expand the roundabout in via Marinotti to ease the traffic which, in the presence of the partial closure of the motorway (the lane to the north), will exit from the Vittorio Sud tollbooth. to cross the city and return to the Vittorio Nord castle on the A27.
