MAJANO. Clash between cars and motorcycles, Sunday 5 September, in via Nazionale, in the municipality of Majano. A 56-year-old woman from Codroipo was hospitalized in serious condition at the Udine hospital.
It happened shortly after 11, along the regional road 463, near the hamlet of San Tommaso. The causes of the accident are still being investigated by the police. The motorcycle, with two people on board, a man and a 56-year-old woman, both from Codroipo, and the car were traveling along Via Nazionale when, near an intersection, they collided. The impact was violent.
To have the worst of the two motorcyclists, who were thrown on the asphalt with injuries in various parts of the body. The call for help was immediate.
The Sores di Palmanova power station immediately sent an ambulance of 118 and also the helicopter rescue, which took off from the Campoformido base and landed not far from the place where the collision occurred.
The intervention of the volunteer firefighters of San Daniele was also timely, and they took steps to secure the vehicles involved in the accident. The surveys were carried out by the carabinieri of the San Daniele station.
The 56-year-old was transported to the hospital in Udine by helicopter. His condition is serious, but he is not life threatening. The man who was riding the motorcycle was less seriously injured. –
