Fatal accident in Lorica, Cosentino. The operating director of the ski lifts, Alessandro Marcelli – 58, an engineer – was accidentally hit by a cabin and fell to the ground. The Fire Brigade is still busy recovering six plant management personnel, who were stuck in two cabins, between some pylons, after the lifts were stopped. Engaged SAF staff (alpine river speleo).
The victim was the director of infrastructures and assets of the Ferrovie della Calabria and had also taken on the role of operating director of the Lorica and Camigliatello Silano ski lifts. The aid of the 118 health workers was useless. The Carabinieri were on the spot, and they have begun investigations to clarify the dynamics of what happened. The implants were blocked.
