The Municipality of Villa Ygatymí, Department of Canindeyú, broke ground this Monday for the installation of its first ATM, which will be enabled next to the local Police Station.
After a long struggle by the residents of Villa Ygatimi and the local authorities, this district will finally have an ATM from the National Development Bank (BNF).
One of the requests of the residents and accompanied by the municipal mayor and the Board was the installation of a cashier on the site, so that the elderly and people who charge the Tekoporã program no longer have to move to Curuguaty, some 45 kilometers, to perceive its benefits because of the sacrifice and cost it means.
Merchants are also happy about the authorization, because it can increase sales, since currently people are going to collect from Curuguaty and already make their purchases there, while now they will be able to buy in their own city, according to what they said.
The ATM will be next to the local Police Station and it is estimated that in a month it would be ready and working at the service of citizens.
Municipal Mayor Ricardo Giménez (PLRA) pointed out that thanks to everyone’s struggle, this is becoming a reality.
“It is a necessity for our people, for the grandparents, those who collect Tekoporã and also officials of various institutions that must be transferred to Curuguaty to perceive their belongings,” the communal chief said.
