Alessandro Merli died, one of the fathers of the Dolomites Park

The former Belluno director of the State Forests was 99 years old. He was national president of Italia Nostra

BELLUNO. As a state official, he gave an important impulse to the birth of the Belluno Dolomites National Park, acquiring large areas of territory from the State Property which were then transformed into reserves. As a lover of cultural and environmental heritage, he was involved in associations, becoming national president of Italia Nostra from 1990 to 1994.

Alessandro Merli, former Belluno director of the State Agency for State Forests, passed away at the age of 99.
