The agreement contemplates the implementation of campaigns in various educational institutions.
He Ministry of Education and the State Comptroller General (CGE) have joined forces to promote the education in values and integrity in schools and colleges in the country. Through a framework agreement for inter-institutional cooperation, the Minister of Education, Alegría Crespoand the Comptroller General of the State, Mauricio Torres Maldonado, agreed to develop training aimed at promote ethical values between students, teachers and the educational community in general.
The agreement contemplates the campaign implementation in various educational institutions with the aim of promoting a cultural change that promote integrity both in the school environment and in the family environment. Minister Crespo highlighted the importance of this collaboration to train in ethics, transparency and prevention of corruption, in order to build a culture of integrity in the educational sector.
For his part, Comptroller Torres Maldonado stressed the commitment of the Comptroller’s Office in the fight against corruption within the educational field, offering support on topics such as public procurement as a preventive measure.
The agreement, which will have a duration of five yearswill be administered and coordinated by the National Directorate of Continuing Training of the MINEDUC and the National Training Directorate of the CGE.
This alliance is expected to contribute significantly to the strengthening education in Ecuador, promoting a fairer, transparent and educated society.
