ALPAGO. The first “Path of sensitivity”. 24 kilometers, to be covered also in audio (music), complete with an app to download on mobile phones, from the locality Carota, above Pieve d’Alpago, to Sant’Anna, on the heights of Tambre. It is not a project, but a reality. It was inaugurated on Sunday, by the Cai dell’Alpago, in the presence, among others, of the national vice president Francesco Carrer and the regional one Renato Frigo. It starts at an altitude of 986 meters and rises up to 1260, for a total difference in height of 900 meters. The name already recalls its possible use: in sections it can be traveled by the disabled, through a network of pre-existing roads and paths.
The path has several crossing points with the carriages that rise from the valley, making it therefore always accessible. San Martino d’Alpago, Degnona, Funes, Cruden, Pian Formosa, Casera Pal and Pianon are the intermediate access points to the path and which allow you to live this experience in several stages, fully enjoying the tranquility and charm of these places. . In particular, the “Path of sensitivity” has two sections where the passage of wheelchairs for disabled people is possible: the first from Carota near San Martino and the second from Malga Cate to Pianon.
TRACTS FOR WHEELS
The stretch that leads from Carota 1km from the town of San Martino has a surface that is asphalted at times and dirt roads with the presence of gravel. It is advisable to travel it with suitable wheelchairs. The route presents a slight difficulty, near the Col Panigal, due to the crossing of a ford with a cemented background followed by an asphalted ramp: the presence of a guide is recommended. The section between Cate and Pianon is completely asphalted with an almost constant altitude. The road has a wide carriageway and moderate vehicle traffic.

Naturalistic, cultural and landscape information will sensitize the hiker during the discovery of the hidden sides, the curiosities and the opportunities offered by this territory. At the same time, geolocation will allow you to check your position on the trail.

The musical itinerary will allow hikers to immerse themselves in one of the symbolic symphonies of the mountains: “Symphony of the Alps ”. Strauss’s masterpiece will accompany the hiker during various stages of his journey, making him better grasp the strong music-mountain and man-nature ties.
