An earthquake of magnitude 3 was recorded by the Ingv in the area of Amatrice (Rieti). The quake, at 7.31 am, occurred at a depth of 12 km. In addition to Amatrice, which is located just three km from the epicenter, the other closest municipalities were those of Campotosto (L’Aquila) and the earthquake was felt by the residents of the area and the surrounding area but no damage was reported.
