Sudanese Net:
Former American diplomat Cameron Hudson criticized Washington’s decision towards former Interior Minister Ahmed Haroun.
Hudson pointed out in a tweet on “X” that this is another indication that Washington does not have a strategy towards Sudan and that it continues to throw things at the wall to see what will work.
He said that America is offering a reward for the arrest of Ahmed Haroun 20 years after his crimes.
“Note that we bear no responsibility for 20 years of impunity,” he added.
Hudson added that American officials met repeatedly with Haroun in the years after he committed the crimes.
He added, “I attended the meetings when he was still governor of Kordofan during the Obama administration.” We have spent two decades pursuing accountability for crimes in Darfur, but we have not. This is too little, too late.
