The percentage of pregnant women having received 3 doses of Intermittent Preventive Treatment (IPT) during pregnancy increased from 69%, compared to 65.57% between 2022 and 2023. The information was given during the annual management review regional health office, Grand-Lomé, open this week.
This meeting is part of the new National Health Development Plan (PNDS) 2023-2027 which recommends an annual meeting in each health region for an evaluation of performance.
In addition to the progression of the TPII, other indicators have also evolved. The curative care utilization rate increased from 51.14 to 55.1%; the percentage of children aged 0 to 11 having received 3 doses of pentavalent vaccine increased to 87%, compared to 81%.
However, some indicators have declined. For example, the couple year of protection in Family Planning is 55,285 compared to 90,636; the percentage of functional COGES is 48% compared to 58%.
Note that Grand-Lomé brings together the Golfe and Agoè-Nyivé prefectures.
