The Valle d’Aosta capital will undertake to reduce greenhouse gases and promote the decarbonised circular economy
Aosta becomes one of over forty Italian cities that are committed to reducing gas emissions to the quantity that nature is able to absorb independently. The capital has in fact adhered to the City Charter towards climate neutrality which lists five strategic tasks to be respected: developing a more sustainable urban mobility with fewer cars, promoting the decarbonised circular economy, increasing carbon absorption, increasing commitment for energy efficiency and renewable sources, promote the transition to climate neutrality.
“The objectives of the Charter – explains the Councilor for the Environment Loris Sartore in a note – follow the commitments undertaken with the adhesion of the Municipality of Aosta to the Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy, giving even more strength to the will to develop policies for energy saving and the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere. In the coming years our community, like the others, will be called to a collective effort to change our lifestyle in a sustainable way, in order to guarantee the future of the entire planet “.
Councilor Sartore recognizes as “ambitious” the goal of the city of Aosta which will help make the capital “a more” green “city, pleasant to live for citizens and more attractive for tourists”.
