The long divorce process between Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez ended last week, thus closing a turbulent marriage of only three years. Shortly before, on March 8, the pop star published her long-awaited new album ‘Eternal Sunshine’, full of songs full of reflections and some subtle notes about that stage of her life.
The artist, 30, has now had to come to the fore to ask her most radical fans to stop sending “hateful” messages to certain people in her life, without detailing who she is referring to. Ariana has stressed that her lyrics are full of authenticity and good wishes, and she regrets that some followers have “misinterpreted” those words as if they were reproaches in need of revenge.
In her Instagram ‘stories’, the interpreter wanted to make it clear that these frontal attacks do not show any “support” for her person. «It is absolutely the opposite pole of what I have always defended, and it means misunderstanding my intentions with music. I ask you to please stop doing that, she has addressed the toughest sector of her fan base.
Ariana does not deny that some of the personal experiences she captures in her album are “painful”, but she affirms that “they are interwoven by a constant line of sincere and deep love.” And she adds: «If you are not able to appreciate it, I ask you to please listen more carefully. Thank you so much”.
Since her divorce from Dalton Gomez, a well-known real estate agent with whom she crossed the altar in 2021, was confirmed, the artist has refused to speak expressly about that matter and, likewise, about her new relationship with Ethan Slater, the co-star of his new film ‘Wicked’, based on the play of the same name.
