At the Verona stadium a banner appears with the coordinates of Naples for the Russian and Ukrainian missiles

VERONA. The banner displayed in Verona and signed Curva sud has gone viral in the last few hours, on social networks, sites and chats of Napoli fans. There are the flags of Russia and Ukraine and then a series of numbers that represent the coordinates of Naples, almost a sort of indication to “hit” the city while the war is raging.

Numerous comments. The writer Maurizio De Giovanni, on Fb, underlines: «The refined, intelligent and geographical banner of the Veronese curve, which gives the Russian and Ukrainian missiles the correct location of the target. For the uninitiated, these are the coordinates of my city. Always admirably ready to grasp elements of close relevance to renew their profound racist idiocy ».

“Just to make us understand – concludes De Giovanni – with a plastic example, at what point can (sub) human imbecility arrive, and how, in a brain that is too narrow, very serious and nonsense things can mix”. The banner appeared near the Bentegodi stadium in Verona where Napoli, for the record, beat the hosts 2 to 1 in the afternoon.

The banner was displayed last night outside the Verona stadium, in one of the car parks made available to guests. Investigations are underway on the incident. The Scala company has not commented on the episode at the moment.

The banner – as anticipated – was signed by the Curva sud, the heart of the Scaligero fans divided by a fierce rivalry with the Neapolitans which in the past has often transcended into racist insults.

The threatening content and the allusion to war screeches even more in the match in which Hellas launched a solidarity initiative for the Ukrainian people, a gazebo in the parking lot of the stadium to collect long-life food and first aid medicines to be shipped directly to the country invaded by Russia.
