After dominating without forcing the battery with a time of 6 ” 51, the Olympic champion of 100 and 4×100 won with a time of 6 ” 49, very close to his personal, as well as Italian record, of 6 ” 47 .
The blue beat the American Mike Rodgers, who finished in 6”62, while third place went to the other Italian athlete Ali Chituru in 6”63.
