Attacks on ATMs with excavators, 18 arrests between Trapani and Catania

TRAPANI – Attacks on ATMs with excavators. The State Police of Trapani is carrying out a vast operation against some criminal gangs active in the provinces of Trapani and Catania. Over a hundred policemen from the Trapani and Etnea mobile teams, coordinated by the Central Operational Service, together with the investigators of the Marsala police station, are executing 18 precautionary measures requested by the Marsala Public Prosecutor against as many suspects.

All are accused in various ways of conspiracy, theft, aggravated damage and simulation of a crime. Numerous searches are also underway with the help of canine units from the Crime Prevention Departments and a helicopter from the Palermo Flight Department.
