Banchette. Fire and wind on the overpass, the highway noise barrier burns

On Friday afternoon the firefighters were mobilized on provincial 69, where the brushwood and the nearby corn field had already gone up in smoke.

BANQUETTE D’IVREA. Fire and wind on the provincial road 69 between Banchette and Salerano, close to the motorway. On Friday 25, around 3.40pm, a fire broke out in the undergrowth on either side of the overpass. Fueled by the gusts of wind, the flames then spread to the nearby cornfield reaching the noise barrier, and burning it completely. A long column of black smoke rose skyward. Fortunately, the highway was not affected. A team of firefighters on site.
