Barcelona SC lost at home 2-0 against San Pablo of Brazil for the third date of group ‘B’ of the Copa Libertadores. The match was held on the night of Thursday, April 25, 2024, with the defeat of the Ecuadorian team being on the brink of elimination from the competition.
The ‘Brazilian’ team had a greater chance of scoring than the locals, the visiting team controlled the game based on possession of the ball. At minute 17, Jonthan Calleri scored the first goal of the game after a header inside the rival area.
In the second half the ‘bullfighters’ changed their game model and from the start they sought to tie the match. Joao Rojas had two clear chances in the first ten minutes of the second half, but the visiting goalkeeper prevented the tie.
The visit increased the score when Barcelona had more scoring opportunities. At minute 64, Alisson scored 2-0 for the Brazilian team.
