The City of Bardonecchia (Turin) has conferred honorary citizenship on the Carabinieri as an act of gratitude for “the fixed dedication made to guard the inhabitants, and for the every day exercise carried out within the municipal territory, as a way to assure the general public order, legality and concrete safety”.
The metropolis council, on March eleventh, unanimously accredited the switch, following the proposal of the mayor Chiara Rossetti. “The presence of the pressure within the space dates again over time and has all the time been characterised by its profound dedication and explicit dedication in favor of the residents – defined the mayor -. This dedication was confirmed through the interval of the Covid pandemic -19 and, lastly, following the emergency attributable to the flooding of the Fréjus torrent, which occurred on August thirteenth”.
The mayor then thanked lieutenant Aldo Radaelli “who just lately retired after spending 17 years amongst us” “for his decisive presence in Bardonecchia”. He was introduced with a plaque. Brigadier General Antonio Di Stasio, commander of the Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta Legion, underlined the good work executed in Bardonecchia after the August flood. “Together we go far – he stated – and also you right here in Bardonecchia have gone very far. An amazing demonstration of human solidarity was given”.
Also current have been the provincial commander, Brigadier General Roberto De Cinti, the commander of the Carabinieri firm of Susa, captain Federico Muciacciaro, the commander of the Bardonecchia station, marshal Alessandro Ramon and the vicar vice prefect Michele Lastella.
