Bellini Music Institute, 14 million hole: Court of Auditors sentenced employees to compensate

The judges of the Court of Auditors chaired by Vincenzo Lo Presti condemned the administrative employees to compensate the Vincenzo Bellini Musical Institute in Catania. The sentence is of the first degree. The judges accepted the requests of the prosecutor Gianluca Albo. For the financial police there would have been unjustified expenses, transfers in favor of some companies, some of which had never had anything to do with the institute. There were, according to the accusation, also inflated salaries with function allowances and unpaid contributions. The amount to be compensated is about 14 million euros to be divided jointly among the defendants on the basis of responsibility. This is Giuseppa Agata Carrubba, head of the accounting office of the institution, will have to return 14 million jointly with other defendants, Francesco Bruno 10 million and 300 thousand euros jointly with the other defendants, Vita Marina Motta, head of the didactic secretariat 2 million and 600 thousand euro jointly with the others, Lea Marino, head of the personnel department 2 million and 400 thousand euro jointly and severally, Paolo Di Costa, employee of the accounting department, 73 thousand euro jointly.
