Thursday 10 web meeting with the director of Nephrology Andrea Bandera
BELLUNO. How are urine and blood tests read? How Much Vitamin D Do You Need? What are the warning signs about kidney functioning? On the occasion of the world kidney day scheduled for 10 March 2022, the Nephrologies of Ulss Dolomiti organized an information meeting on the prevention of kidney diseases to answer citizens’ doubts on this topic.
Kidney diseases are more common than is usually believed and are particularly insidious. In fact, many individuals are affected without being aware of it, noticing the disease only when it is already in an advanced state. Today 5.3% of people over 50 and up to 5.2% of over 80 suffer from chronic kidney disease. Prevention, associated with an adequate lifestyle, and early diagnosis are essential to slow the progression of the disease.
The meeting open to citizens is dedicated to this and will be held online on Thursday 10 March 2022 from 6.00 pm with the Director of Nephrology Andrea Bandera, during which important topics for kidney health such as hypertension, vitamin D and correct reading of blood and urine tests.
