A job reintegration project for those who have lost their jobs with the Covid emergency, support for artisans and merchants to obtain credits, the first half hour of free parking in the blue car parks, the exemption from paying the Tosap and scholarships for university students.
These are the measures to support citizens and economic activities included in the document drawn up by the conference of group leaders and sent to the administration in these days. On the table there are interventions for a total of 260 thousand euros.
The lion’s share is made by a work reintegration project that will be structured in collaboration with the Feltre company for personal services. The initiative, financed with a fund of 100 thousand euros, aims to promote employment in local companies with initial economic support. Methods and criteria will be defined later. The goal is that workers who enter companies thanks to the support fund, thanks also to an adequate training course, can then stabilize themselves in the medium-long term.
Thinking about the commercial activities of the center, the free parking in the blue car parks is back. The measure successfully introduced last year is being re-proposed this year but for half an hour instead of an hour. However, the concept remains the same, that is to give time to do quick errands with the possibility of leaving the car in the blue stalls for thirty minutes without paying. Avoiding going to the parking meter to insert the coin when maybe it takes only five minutes to get bread or buy something in the shops. The first half hour of free parking will be active from the end of June to September.
In collaboration with Ascom and Confartigianato (and on the proposal of councilor Irma Visalli), a support program will also be promoted for access to credit by commercial and craft businesses. The Confidi system (a consortium that provides guarantees to facilitate companies in accessing loans) will be used. The 40 thousand euros will be used to activate and strengthen the guarantees offered to the banking system through the Confidi consortium, with a multiplier effect on loans disbursed by credit institutions. Interested companies will thus be able to take advantage of loans of between 15 and 25 thousand euros at a particularly advantageous rate to be allocated to their business in various forms.
With regard to the occupation of public land, it does not only mean keeping the stalls of bars and restaurants at zero cost, but the economic aid also concerns the stalls of the city market and construction sites (which thus have a saving if they have to make a scaffolding along the road).
To cover the revenues that will be lost in the municipal coffers with the exemption from Tosap foreseen at this stage for the first half of 2021, the majority and minority forces united in the group leaders’ conference assumed 20 thousand euros.
An identical amount will be allocated for maintenance interventions in the city center, with particular reference to the relaunch in view of the summer season on the tourist and commercial level.
Finally, 40 thousand euros are allocated to scholarships for undergraduates and recent graduates, as financial support for the families of university students and an incentive for young people to continue their careers. –
