Brosso, a German paraglider crashes to the ground

The man was seriously injured, transported by helicopter to the CTO

BROSSO – A German paraglider crashed in the late afternoon of Sunday 24 April, at Piano degli Alemanni, on Cavallaria, in the Municipality of Brosso. Other paragliders who were in the area gave the alarm. The 118 helicopter intervened and his team rescued the injured person who suffered several fractures following the fall. The man was stabilized and transported by air ambulance to the CTO. His conditions are serious but he would not be in danger of life. The Ivrea mountain rescue team remained on stand-by but his intervention was not necessary. Investigations underway on the dynamics of the accident.
