The candidate in one of the Roman municipalities, in the civic list of Calenda, last week had been at the center of a controversy for some photos where he sported a precious and expensive Audermas Piguet. Calenda, after having defended the young candidate on several occasions, now, however, tries to give him a ‘wake up call’: «Legs on your shoulders and go get the votes. Avoid just talking about this. And what a drag !! Pedalare », Calenda wrote on Twitter, replying to a user who had commented on a photo of Pastore with a watch on his wrist in plain sight, with a ‘You are looking for it’.

The leader of Action is in fact trying to sprint in this race at the Capitol. Just today Calenda, during a meeting organized by the Foreign Press Association, in fact said that the electoral campaign is not over and that he can still make it, underlining the incorrect consideration given to the useful vote: «Disadvantaged by the useful vote? Meanwhile, it is not true. The latest poll released says that I am third, 5 points behind Gualtieri, so the game is finally open with 40 percent of people who have not decided what to vote for ».
The candidate then explained that the vote useful to the administrative offices does not “hold”: «This reasoning does not work when it comes to municipal elections. Because it is a double shift system. In the first round you vote for the person who matches you the most, who you prefer »while« in the second round you have to choose between the two who are there. But above all, what all the polls say, without exception, is that I am the only candidate who would beat everyone in the ballot ».
While Calenda faces a comeback in the polls, Roberto Gualtieri is counting on the support of some European mayors. In fact, the progressive mayors of Europe took the field for the center-left candidate and, in a video projected at the Gualtieri committee, together with the president of the European Parliament David Sassoli, the endorsements to the dem were collected. From the first citizen of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, who supported Gualtieri by giving him her support: «Paris supports you. I am looking forward to working with you. I am with you, long live Rome ». To the mayor of Barcelona, Ada Colau, symbol of the renewal of the city, who has already come to Rome to personally bring her support to Gualtieri, also attending the opening of his electoral campaign. To close the clip in support of the candidate, was Antonio Rodriguez Osuna, Mayor of Me’rida, the town of Extremadura known as the “Spanish Rome”: «Roberto must become mayor for his pro-European trajectory. For an eternal Rome, vote for Roberto Gualtieri, ”said the mayor.
Gualtieri was satisfied with the endorsement received and reiterated that his capital looks right there, at European progressivism: «Progressives are those who govern big cities and experiment with new solutions. In recent years, Rome has been somewhere else, we will bring it back to the leading group ». The president of the European Parliament, David Sassoli, is also certain of this. During the meeting, he said firmly: “We can say it with pride: with Roberto Gualtieri Rome will return to Europe”.
