During this weekend, the Huila Police have announced the implementation of a special plan called “Hunter” on the occasion of Mother’s Day and other festivities in the region. Within the framework of these efforts to guarantee citizen security, the Crimes Against Life and Personal Integrity Group of the Criminal Investigation Section has achieved an important capture.

A 23-year-old individual, allegedly involved in a case of assault that occurred on June 17, 2023 in the Miravalles village of Pitalito, was recently arrested in the La Florida village of Valle de Laboyos. According to investigations, this individual would have caused multiple wounds with a knife to the victim’s torso during an incident of intolerance.
The victim was hospitalized in critical condition for more than a month in the ICU of the San Antonio de Pitalito Hospital due to the severity of the injuries suffered. The arrest of the alleged attacker was carried out by means of a court order, and he faces charges of attempted murder.
