The Federation of Associations of Indigenous Councils of Chocó, Fedeorewa, reported that 286 indigenous people from 78 families from the Embera Eyábida communities of Paredes, Parecito and María Elvira, had to move and take refuge in the municipal seat of Cértegui, due to the presence, pressures , abuses and disputes by members of the ELN and El Clan del Golfo in their territories.

Fedeorewa requests humanitarian aid (food), accompaniment, care routes, guarantees of return and withdrawal from illegal armed groups.
The municipal administration of Cértegui announced comprehensive care for displaced indigenous people.
