[EpochTimesOctober092021](Epoch Times reporter Ning Haizhong reported) The “Changjin Lake” movie “Resisting U.S. Aid Korea” launched by the CCP is boosting the wave of nationalism. However, the people questioned the justice of the Battle of Changjin Lake. Luo Changping, a well-known Chinese media person, was even detained for “insulting the heroes of the Volunteers to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea” for commenting on “Changjin Lake”. The incident caused concern at home and abroad as the official chased after it continuously.

Luo Changping shocked the CCP in one sentence

The Suburban Procuratorate of Sanya City, Hainan Province claimed on the night of October 8 that “decided to file a civil public interest lawsuit against Luo Mouping for infringing on the reputation and honor of heroes and martyrs and launch an investigation.”

In the afternoon of the same day, the Jiyang Branch of the Public Security Bureau of Sanya City, Hainan Province has issued a notice stating that the netizen “Luo Mouping” who is suspected of insulting the heroes of the Korean Volunteers to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea has been under criminal detention.

The Central Commission for Discipline Inspection also published an article that day, “Let those who insult the heroes pay their due price.”

The official “Luo Mouping” refers to Luo Changping, a well-known media person. He posted on Weibo on October 6th, saying, “After half a century, Chinese people rarely reflect on the justice of this war. Sha Diaolian will not doubt Shangfeng’s’wise decision’.”

The movie “Changjin Lake” was sponsored by the Chinese Communist government and was screened during the long holiday of November. The box office revenue has reached 3.3 billion yuan.

The film tells that during the Korean War, the Chinese Communist army and the United Nations army, dominated by the U.S. army, fought at Changjin Lake. A large number of CCP soldiers were frozen to death because they did not have warm clothing. The CCP called it the “Ice Sculpture Company.”

Luo Changping refers to the “Ice Sculpture Company” in the play as the “Sand Sculpture Company”, and “Sand Sculpture” means “stupid and brainless” in Internet language. This also triggered a siege by the official media. Official media such as the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of the Communist Party of China (CYL) published articles bombarding him, accusing him of “insulting the heroes”.

Luo Changping was the chief reporter of China Business Daily, the chief editor of the in-depth reporting department of The Beijing News, and the deputy editor of Caijing magazine. He specializes in political economy, finance and economics, and has published many investigation reports on official corruption. Including the well-known “Public Nepotism” and “Lian’s Infernal Affairs”. He also edited and distributed articles such as “Out of Ma Sanjia” by Yuan Ling exposing the shady of the labor camp. In 2013, he made a sensation when he successfully reported that Liu Tienan, the former deputy director of the National Development and Reform Commission, was brought down.

According to insiders, Luo Changping had a very good interaction with the reformists in the system, and he often got some hard information. May be retaliated against for anti-corruption offending the powerful.

Golden Autumn: The truth is hard to conceal

Jin Qiu, a veteran mainland media person, analyzed the Epoch Times that Luo Changping said that he wanted to reflect on the justice of the war. “Because it is well known that the origin of the Korean War was that Kim Il Sung was under the control and instigation of the Soviet Union. This has become a historian. It’s a recognized fact.”

Regarding Luo Changping’s writing of the Ice Sculpture Company as a Sand Sculpture Company, Huang Jinqiu said: “In his own intention, he did not mean to hurt these things. I think he was personally only describing these soldiers under the information blockage and the boss’s. Under this kind of brutal order, especially when they were asked to march quickly, throwing down these cotton-padded clothes and these heavy equipment, they were frozen to death.”

“I personally think that in a country under the rule of law, the families of these martyrs should question and file charges. I think it is more in line with the rule of law society, and he should not let the police take the initiative to do this.”

“We are full of sympathy for every Chinese soldier. They just obey the orders of their superiors and fight in the ice and snow. For their sacrifice, it is a tragedy from the perspective of the whole nation and it is not worth it. Of course from the ruler. From a perspective, he has his own ideas, because most of them were incorporated after the surrender of the national army.”

Huang Jinqiu said that the official promotion of “Changjin Lake” is now due to the international anti-communist alliance. It needs soldiers to fight for it. But those who are interested in history will most likely find that the sacrifices of those soldiers are indeed too innocent.

“The true historical truth is hard to be concealed. I have seen that many groups in the circle of friends are spreading some information about “Changjin Lake” everywhere. That may be the intention of the (CCP) government’s expectations will really be invalidated. .” Jinqiu said.

Analysis: “Violation of Heroes” is an upgraded version of quarreling and provoking troubles

The CCP’s Law on the Protection of Martyrs was passed at the second meeting of the Standing Committee of the 13th National People’s Congress of the CCP on April 27, 2018, and came into effect on May 1 of the same year. The amendment to the Criminal Law, which came into effect on March 1, 2021, added 17 new crimes, including the crime of “violating the reputation and honor of heroes and martyrs.”

An anonymous interviewee who is familiar with Luo Changping told The Epoch Times that “infringing on heroes” is actually an upgraded version of provoking trouble. In the past, this kind of case was handled as quarreling and provoking trouble. Now it’s the 2.0 version of “picking quarrels and provoking trouble”, specifically suppressing speech. And this crime is a pocket crime.

He said that the right to interpret is the official, “what he said is your problem, what is your problem, it is actually difficult for you to have a chance to argue.”

Regarding the official promotion of the “Changjin Lake” movie, the person said: “The entire domestic propaganda is anti-American, and it is a plan that has lasted for a long time. The second point is that the Communist Party is now fooling the people, making the people demented and admiring it. The so-called heroes instill some ideological things, and he desperately hopes that someone will dismantle them, especially those who were once more famous, like Luo Changping, including some film and television stars, as long as they have a certain degree of public influence. People, if they violate their propaganda tone, he will mobilize a lot of power to retaliate.”

Chen Jiangang: Reflecting that the people have completely lost their right to speak

Chen Jiangang, a mainland human rights lawyer in exile in the United States, told The Epoch Times: “The opinions of our lawyers in this case are similar. It indicates that speech has now been suppressed to a degree: the people have completely lost the right to speak. Everything is determined by the party, and it is You can convict the voice you don’t like at any time.”

“During the Cultural Revolution, because of an inadvertent sentence, colleagues reported each other, family members reported each other, and students reported to the teacher. This kind of thing has basically become a normal thing today.”

“I think this probably reflects the CCP’s nervousness. Or, to be precise, the CCP has been in power for more than 70 years. Chinese people have not had freedom of speech. Now, after Xi Jinping came up, this space is getting tighter and tighter.” Chen Jiangang Say.

Regarding calling for international attention, Chen Jiangang believes that he certainly hopes that the international community will pay more attention. “Because I was in this situation when I was in China. International attention is a kind of protection for domestic victims.”

But he is not optimistic: “I think this country has changed. It has to be from the inside. Do the Chinese need freedom and do they need democracy.”

“If it’s just those people who are at the forefront. Democracy and freedom are needed. Then these people can easily be eliminated by the Communist Party. If there is no follow-up follow-up. China does not have a broad civil society, and everyone does not need democracy and freedom. If everyone thinks that living is enough, then China has truly become a slave kingdom.”

Gao Yu: I hope he can regain his freedom soon

Gao Yu, a senior mainland media person, told reporters that he didn’t know Luo Changping, “but when he came out and said that he questioned (“Changjin Lake”), I was very worried. I immediately thought of the law. (“Heroes Law”). This law is the knife that hangs on everyone’s head as long as you comment.”

“This law used to be like this in the 1980s, I think everyone would have to go in. At that time, a lot of history had to be brought out of chaos.”

“Unfortunately, I thought about it. I have to catch a typical. Because this movie has spent such a large cost, mobilized so many people, and now the box office value has already reached several billion, and it will reach several billion, so I think The arrest of Luo Changping was also because of his great influence. I didn’t watch this movie either. I would feel it from public opinion, or why would I worry about Luo Changping.”

“Judicial should reflect a kind of justice in him. I hope he can restore his freedom as soon as possible.” Gao Yu said.
