He did not like to wait and so they attacked the medical staff: a new case of violence in the emergency room. It took place this morning in the emergency room of the “Giannettasio” hospital in Corigliano Rossano (Cosenza), where a doctor, a nurse and a social health worker were hit and injured. According to what is learned, some relatives of a patient, assisted by the emergency room staff, first complained about the wait and, according to them, about the lack of attention paid and then they would also have passed on to insults. Finally, they would have claimed to enter the hospital premises, which are forbidden to relatives due to anticovid regulations. Upon refusal to enter, the patient’s family members would have started a real fight with the health personnel on duty, forced to ask for the intervention of the police to calm the minds.
