(ANSA) – RIO DE JANEIRO, 08 OCT – The threshold of 600,000 deaths from Covid in a year and a half of pandemic has been exceeded in Brazil. This was announced by the Ministry of Health, while the trend in deaths records a progressive decline as the vaccination campaign progresses.
The latest official report from the ministry reports 600,425 deaths and 21,550,730 infections since the beginning of the pandemic, figures largely underestimated according to experts. The country remains the second in the world for the number of victims, after the United States. (HANDLE).
