The reduction of new cases of Covid-19 in Italy continues for the fifth week in a row. From 23 February to 1 March they were 275,376 compared to 349,122 the previous week, equal to -21.1%. Deaths also fell, which were 1,488 compared to 1,828 in the week of February 16-22, equal to -18.6%. In all Regions there is a percentage reduction in new cases: from -2.5% in Calabria to -34.1% in Sardinia. In the same period of time, however, there was a further decrease of 12.7% in tampons, which went from 3.3 million to 2.9 million. In particular, in one week, rapid swabs were reduced by 13.3% (-330.453) and molecular ones by 10.7% (-87.943). The 7-day moving average of the positivity rate of molecular swabs goes from 11.1% to 9%, while for the rapid antigenic ones from 10.4% to 9.8%.
