Supreme Court does not block vaccine requirement for New York teachers

(ANSA) – NEW YORK, 01 OCT – The United States has exceeded 700,000 deaths from Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic. This is what emerges from the data of Johns Hopkins University. The deaths are almost equal to the population of Washington DC or Boston.

Meanwhile, the American Supreme Court has decided not to block the vaccine requirement for teachers in public schools in New York. Judge Sonia Sotomayor, assigned to evaluate the emergency requests, has denied the request made by four teachers in the city, as the confrontation in the courts continues. The obligation started at 5pm yesterday local time. Unvaccinated teachers will be suspended without pay when schools reopen on Monday. (HANDLE).
