Covid, the bulletin: there are 1,994 new cases in Fvg, eight deaths. Hospital admissions date back

UDINE. Today in Friuli Venezia Giulia on 5,412 molecular swabs 1,304 new infections have been detected, with a positive percentage of 24.09%. In addition, 4,726 rapid antigenic tests have been carried out, from which 690 cases (14.6%) were detected. 34 people are hospitalized in intensive care, while 323 patients are hospitalized in other departments. This was communicated by the deputy governor of the Region with responsibility for Health Riccardo Riccardi, highlighting that “31 of the 34 people hospitalized in intensive care, therefore over 90 percent, are not vaccinated. A figure that unequivocally confirms the importance of vaccination to reduce the risk of suffering serious consequences in the event of Covid-19 infection. As regards the trend of the spread of the virus among the population, the age group most affected remains that between 20 and 29 years (18.76%), followed by that between 40 and 49 years (18.2%) and by that between 0 and 19 years (17.55%).

Today the deaths of 8 people are recorded: a 98-year-old woman from Udine (who died in RSA), a 94-year-old woman from Trieste (who died in hospital), a 91-year-old man from Trieste (who died in hospital), an 85-year-old man from Udine (who died in hospital), an 83-year-old woman from Roveredo in Piano (who died in hospital), an 80-year-old man from Moggio Udinese (who died in hospital), a 75-year-old man from Duino Aurisina (died in hospital) and a 75-year-old man from Trieste (who died in hospital).

There were a total of 4,269 deaths, with the following territorial subdivision: 1,032 in Trieste, 2,091 in Udine, 792 in Pordenone and 354 in Gorizia. The totally healed are 141,209, the clinically healed 580, while the people in isolation are 27,499.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in Friuli Venezia Giulia, a total of 173,914 people have been positive with the following territorial division: 41,684 in Trieste, 72,265 in Udine, 37,179 in Pordenone, 20,212 in Gorizia and 2,574 from outside the region. The total of positive cases was reduced by 7 following 6 negative molecular swabs after positive antigen tests (3 in Pordenone, 2 in Udine and one in Trieste) and one positive test removed after case review (Pordenone).

As far as the regional health system is concerned, the following positives were found: in the Giuliano Isontina university health agency 3 nurses, a psychologist, a technician and an educator; a doctor, 4 nurses to the Friuli Centrale University Healthcare Authority; 5 socio-health workers, 2 administrators, a technician and a psychologist; a doctor to the Western Friuli health authority; a nurse to the regional health coordination agency; a nurse at the maternal and child Irccs Burlo Garofolo; a nurse at Irccs Cro in Aviano.

With regard to residences for the elderly in Friuli Venezia Giulia, 5 guests were infected in Trieste and 16 operators (Trieste, Clauzetto, Zoppola, Palmanova, Tarcento, Paluzza, Roveredo in Piano and Maniago).
